With ST 2110 as the core infrastructure for a lot of broadcast productions these days, you’re now able to connect 2110 directly to your Boland video monitors.
Starting this fall, the entire Boland 4K model series, including the flagship 32-inch 4K QD OLED will have the option to accept 2110 signals.
On the show floor at IBC 2026, Mike Boland from Boland Communications showed Matt Robbins from KitPlus exactly how you can connect your IP signal.
“This can be metallic or fiber, and of course we’re talking 2110 and 2022-7 on the second side, and that’s an automatic switch upon failure of the primary feed,” Mike explained. “This module is added to the monitor when a customer wants to install the option.”
“And then the monitor becomes a master for 2 monitors,” he went on to say. “Each 25G connection delivers 2 independent SDI signals. So the second signal is available on this BNC and can feed a second monitor at any normal SDI distance, but often a local second monitor.”
